Is it possible for women to start a riot with business companies that won't pay them equally?
Q. Men always get paid more than women. Women should start some kind of union where they can make their own money. Business companies are underrated and can devalue a woman's worth. Companies should pay women as much as men get paid! I meant to say business companies are overrated.
Asked by NN102187 - Wed Feb 18 05:27:30 2009 - - 12 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Men do not always get paid more. Lots of women not only get paid more but are the head of the company. Overall you are correct in that women put themselves at a disadvantage from a business perspective by putting their families first. They take time off to raise a family and some can't catch up to their peers afterwards. And some can. If you compare women who never had children with men the gap disappears. And if you look at both women at the begining of retirement I think you will find the ladies that put family first are happier if poorer. I wish I had kids. I would gladly give up some of my money to do it over again.

What are the different types of Business companies?
Q. What I mean is the LLC and other stuff? Like what doe that mean?

A. They all started out as ways to protect the owner of the business from getting sued and losing his house and his car and his furniture. The LLC or S Corp or any corporation lets the business owner limit his liability to the business itself. It also tells the IRS how much tax is going to be paid and by whom. A. You would want to join as many hispanic/latino civic organizations as possible, AND, also join the hispanic chamber of commerce and your regular chamber of commerce. You'll need a big box of business cards and a simple website. I'm sure you'll do well, but you gotta get out there and start rubbing elbows with the movers and shakers.

Asked by supliang - Sat Dec 23 01:08:27 2006 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Well other than doing something that could end up being illegal, such as corporate espionage, you could ask for it. Places like lead generators and lead lists, or even calling lists all have there value when seeking information about your customers and their habits. To get you started in the right way at an affordable rate, I like OppSeekers, because they allow you to target several niches. Try them they also assist in finding ways to convert leads to cash for you to reuse to buy more leads or through a commission.

Why do companies like Cadbury and Coles approve of others such as Kraft and Wesfarmers taking over/buying them?
Q. How do the original/initial companies such as Coles and Cadbury benefit from this? What's to say one day, that Wesfarmers and Kraft won't be offered to be bought by another or larger business/company/corporat ion?
Asked by Other - Wed Jan 20 04:20:47 2010 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments

A. With a merger or acquisition, companies can operate at lesser cost due to larger economies of scale. They benefit by reducing costs of many operations (eg Marketing department) because now they operate under a single entity. Also a larger company can buy materials at lower costs due to its larger purchasing power. Technically, Wesfarmers and Kraft could be bought over one day, but they are pretty huge themselves, not many companies (especially in the food industry) are able to buy over such a large corporation. A merger might be a likelier choice PS. I cant wait for my cheese flavored Dairy Milk

Is there a new law stating websites that belong to bogus financial companies require numbers?
Q. For example, on TV commercials I see business companies promoting their product/service, but when it comes to their website, it usually has a number in it. An example is CrazyFox. It has www.crazyfox.com, but on TV it advertises www.32crazyfox.com Having taken a marketing class, this is pretty lame, but I feel as if this has some other backing to it. I've poked around, but can't seem to get an answer. Some other examples run around the now-so-popular student loans and other work at home businesses. Thanks.
Asked by Manny - Mon Dec 31 03:38:37 2007 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Those numbers are really treated as a "source" number, similar to a referral. So it all has to do with marketing. Different commercials have a different number. This way the company knows which commercials are having the most success, and which ones are doing nothing.

Part time Job at small business owned companies?
Q. Im 17 years old and im looking for a decent job. I don't want to apply at the mall or at a big company business like Old Navy or Target because they require you to put in more hours than i really need. Can you suggest any store/cafe that would let someone work part-time for about 15 - less than 20 hours a week? I just want a job but not that many hours
Asked by valerie m - Fri Feb 27 01:12:21 2009 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Are you sure that the big businesses actually require you to put in that many hours? You could call and talk to a manager just to be sure of what their requirements are. But if you're set on not working for a big chain store, just call up any of the locally owned businesses in your area. Look at ice cream shops, cafes, small book stores, or any kind of small store. Just don't be surprised if they're all full - many small businesses are run by the family and don't need much outside help.

Asked by Just tell me! - Mon Nov 19 14:27:41 2007 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Actually they go out of business or into State supervised receivership all the time. The reason you don't hear about it is because they are usually smaller less capitalized companies that don't get the headlines. Often these companies write higher risk types of insurance that are more volatile in terms of projected losses. The losses overwhelm the premiums collected and because of the thin capitalization the companies can't "ride it out". The larger companies are better capitalized and stay away from the unpredictable high risk lines of insurance. Check your State insurance department's web site I will bet that there are companies in receivership.

What do you think about how when companies do business over the internet (selling) they don't pay sales tax?
Q. Do you think it is beneficial to society that companies doing business over the Internet should be exempt from collecting sales tax? Some feel that not to tax on-line business transactions is regressive. It disproportionately benefits upscale citizens most likely to shop on-line. It is said that state and local governments are being deprived of the sales-tax revenues they rely on to run schools, build roads and other services. What are your thoughts on this issue?
Asked by Rick - Wed Jul 15 18:10:54 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Companies that buy stuff over the internet may not pay sales tax, but they are supposed to pay use tax. Use tax is the complement to sales tax, so the states will always get their revenues. People are also supposed to pay use tax when they buy stuff online, but most people don't bother and it's practically unenforcable. If people and companies paid their taxes right, then your argument is a moot point, since the tax will be collected by a state. Sales tax revenues are huge for states that do collect sales tax. Don't forget that there are 5 states that don't have sales tax. In these cases, they usually have higher income or property taxes to make up the difference. I don't think it makes a difference for "upscale citizens," because if… [cont.]

Is there a online type of service where you can get paid for doing surveys for companies on different products
Q. I'm just wanted to find out if there was some way I can earn some money online by doing product surveys for different business companies and get paid for it. In the real world there are places you can go and do that. You just have to meet a certain criteria. Thank You.
Asked by Karen C - Tue Jun 6 19:47:52 2006 - - 9 Answers - 0 Comments

A. The rule, as always, is to stay away from those that ask you to pay before you can get these surveys. Legitimate market survey companies such as Pinecone Research recruit members based on demographic characteristics -- e.g. mothers of babies 0-12 years old -- and will send surveys of products and services targeting this demographic group. Pinecone Research, however, pays only $5 per survey -- you're definitely not going to be rich with that. They can give you anywhere from 1-5 at most surveys in a month. Other companies simply ask you to answer as many research as possible, and you don't earn anything just the chance to win at a raffle (which I find lame). The article "Earning Money from Surveys" provide a short list of legitimate… [cont.]

Should the government ban companies from doing business in the US if they outsource jobs?
Q. Why the hell would we want a company doing business here if all they do is send OUR jobs to a bunch of worthless foreigners, who are just going to be exploited anyways. If a company wants to do business in the US shouldnt they hire US workers? Dont give me any Bull about taxes being to high; look at the taxes in europe, they are sky high and companies there still hire europeans first.

A. The taxes on them should be so high that it would be cheaper for them to come back to America. Also, to the person who said Obama is outsourcing jobs, are you dense? You must be. The Bush admin was the ones who supported outsourcing. Try looking at fact and reality. I know it must be hard for you. Facts often tend to disagree with conservatives.
