From Google News Search: "Knowledge retrieval" Here is some Internet Information? Q. ThreatsHow does the Internet create security risks for my computer? The Internet works by allowing one computer to send information to another computer across a network of worldwide computers. Rather than going directly to the intended computer, data often passes through several intermediate computers. Each intermediate computer has the potential to see the contents of data being transmitted creating a security risk. Other security risks can be created from files and programs downloaded to your computer or sent via e-mail. Some programs, called 'viruses' are written to intentionally damage your computer and the data stored on it. Make sure security updates for your operating system (Microsoft Windows or mac os x for example) are… [cont.] Asked by unknown - Sun Sep 27 23:02:02 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. thanks... This is very useful information... Answered by Michael - Sun Sep 27 23:09:56 2009 Why do people think that mensa tests are a valid measure of IQ? Q. Mensa tests tend to measure a limited number of constructs related to IQ. They tend to measure what's referred to as "acquired knowledge" (abbreviated Gc). Even questions that relate to reasoning skills or memory skills are largely reliant on acquired knowledge. A couple of examples of this: if you are given a question about a number sequence, and which number comes next, people who have previously been exposed to this type of problem are more likely to know how to answer it. So, it's less a measure of how to reason through the problem, and more a measure of exposure. Also, in the same situation, say the question requires you to have a working understanding of exponents (finding a number in a series requires you to deduce that each number… [cont.] Asked by aybee27 - Sun Oct 25 15:32:48 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. Because they're pretty much as valid as any other form of measure of IQ. And nobody's yet devised a test which people don't get better at if they practice...which obviously a genuine IQ test shouldn't be affected by. I agree it's just a moneymaking scheme, though. I've always said I'd bother applying when I saw a sample question I didn't consider trivial...and I'm not a genius by any means. Q. In the days when it was relatively easier to control the Knowledge base, these so called "scholars" with their unIslamic and totally alien concepts of Tasreef, Taqqiah, al-n sikh wal-mans kh and Taqleed were confident that they could forever keep muddling the theological issue and never be found out. Unfortunately for them the modern tools of information manipulation, storage and retrieval exposed them big time. They and their followers appear to be bumbling fools within intellectual circles and are clearly on their way out. Please comment - Thanks Mohammad B: No I don't mind at all, I am a Muslim :) Asked by Life Guru - Fri Jul 31 15:44:56 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments A. The electronic database surely created an easier method for citation and reference, and no doubt, discredited many of those know-it-all mullahs. So what should I say? Alhamdulilah for Google? lol... I think its hugest benefit is giving all of us the permit and means to search through an organized set of hadiths and make judgements on our own. Alhamdulilah. Khuda hafiz.
