Where can I find reports on companies' international business practices?
Q. I'm attempting to be more socially responsible in the global econom and am l for reports on what companies run or buy from 'sweat shops', angage in fair trade aggreements (or disregard them) and overall have a record of global social responsibity. Does anyone know of any web-sites that track and report on companies records' of inter/national business?

What would happen if every country kept their own business/companies in their own country?
Q. What would happen if every company stayed in their country and keep their workers in their country? Expantion is not the question, it is the total company moving. What would happen if we only bought products bought things made in our country? Sky rocket prices and wages?

A. America would be alright but it would increase poverty in other countries and more children would starve. our wages would be the same and prices would be around the same we wouldn't have some products though. just the things that we dont make untill someone else opened a new business and started making that product

Have any small companies grown to put a large company out of business? or anything kind of like this?
Q. I'm looking for examples of big companies going out of business due to smaller companies out growing them, or any examples similar to this. Maybe something like, a small company coming out with a superior product or service, which casued the large companis sales to drop drastically, resulting in their closure. Thanks I'm kind of looking for specific examples, like: Company A was a huge auto manufacturer, but Company B started up, and had great ideas and produced a better product, causing Company A to go out of business. Thanks Steve

A. It has happened multiple times It's difficult to see it happening the very moment it happens, but if you look in the past you can find a few examples. You might find a few recent examples in fashion but that is not my cup of tea. The major transatlantic passenger ocean ships (like the Titanic) are all put out of business by airliners which offer a better product
