Knowledge Retrieval is a field of study which seeks to return information in a structured form, consistent with human cognitive processes as opposed to simple lists of data items. It draws on a range of fields including Epistemology (Theory of knowledge), Cognitive psychology, Cognitive neuroscience, Logic and Inference, Machine learning and Knowledge discovery, Linguistics, Information technology, etc. OverviewIn the field of retrieval systems, established approaches include:
These approaches both require a user to read and analyze often long lists of data sets or documents in order to extract meaning implicit in them. The goal of knowledge retrieval systems is to reduce the burden of those processes by improved search and representation. This improvement is seen as needed to handle the increasing volumes of data available on the World Wide Web and elsewhere. Many proposals and research efforts have been made regarding knowledge retrieval ,,,,,,,,,,. From Wikipedia under the

Q. UN Sec. Gen. Ban Ki-moon is incredibly committed to push his predecessor s anti-life Kyoto Protocol and possibly, its mandate in October 2009 and amendment thereof come December in Danish capital of Copenhagen. However, he does not seem to understand that the carbon emission reduction as what the organization has been espousing is only a hypothesis which does not guarantee the right solution to world s environmental woes. And the 12 long years of delay to finalize Kyoto Protocol is a proof of hidden force from God in giving a strong reluctance, i.e., posing threat to world s economic survival and hence, how can the highest organization achieve a better world when its philosophy in the environment requires the expense of global economy?… [cont.] Asked by winston - Sat Aug 29 22:24:55 2009 - - 6 Answers - 0 Comments A. Q. I am a school psych working the Chesterfield County Public Schools in Virginia. I currently work in two high schools however I have served in all levels of education. As a devoted disciple of CHC theory and the WJ III, I have administered hundreds of cognitive batteries and have observed the progress, and sometimes lack of progress, of students from elementary school through high school. I am observing that the cognitive demands for educational progress change over time. Educational demands in elementary school are different from the educational demands in middle school and then in high school. While the academic demands change the eligibility for special education often remains the same. For example, a student may be found eligible for… [cont.] Asked by jkkspeer - Thu Jan 8 10:50:46 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. Your best bet is to go to your local university library. Ask them to direct you to ERIC and PsychLit. These are databases which chronicle research done in the area.
