Q. I got a few letters from my boyfriend with the address being PV2 (his name) Fort Leonard Wood, MO no zip or anything is this the address to write back to? Or is this just rec.?

A. Your soldier obviously isn't assigned to a unit yet. Even so, if he is just arriving to Fort Leonardwood, MO, he should have included the Reception Station address. From the reception station he will move to a Training Brigade. They will have a normal addressthere which will include his Company, Battalion and Brigade, i.e. C Co. 156th QM BN, 3RD BR. You may just have to wait until he gets settled in. You can write back to the address he gave as a return address. He will likely receive his mail but it will take alot longer for them to find where he is actually assigned. You have to remember, the Army doesn't have the US Post Office, they have soldiers running mail rooms. Good Luck.

Q. I recently bought some checks. The day after ordering them I moved to a new address. Had no idea I would be moving, so now my checks have my old address. I worked in New York over the summer, but I'm a California resident, and I used my California address for all the paperwork, so that's the address listed on my W-2 (and also where all my paychecks were sent). A. pisceswise is correct, but not complete. You will file a NY Non Resident return for your New York income only. You will file a CA Resident Return for all income including the income earned in NY. CA should give you a credit for taxes paid to NY. If CA's tax rate is higher than NY, your credit should be the total amount of tax paid to NY. If CA is lower, then your credit will be limited to the tax that CA would have assessed on that income.

A. It can be done in almost any wireless scenario, but I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish. It could be as easy as changing your PC's MAC address (many downloadable software tools can do this). There are other more detailed/illegal ways like hijacking someone else's session, but again this all depends on the configuration of the network. Why are you trying to change your IP address? I assume you mean the private one you're being assigned, correct? This will not affect how the outside world sees you.
