A. When someone undergoes a soul_retrival they are usually experiencing reconnecting to a part of the phyche that was dissasciated during a time of trauma. Ancient cultures did not have either the experience or the teminology that we use. A person that felt lost from a part of their feelings or experiences could be helped by a healing ritual that did several things. As with hypnotherapy a light trance state could allow that person to relax and truly trust. Suggestions of wholness could then be suggested to the unconcios mind. Then certain ritual postures, chants and actions could be used to impress this changed and healed state to the individual. There are still practioners of these arts now. There are also skilled phtcothereapists that… [cont.]

psychology critical thinking question?
Q. if you have ever found yourself in a group of people speaking a language that you don't understand?" And this is our sense of the mountain of knowledge required to effectively use oral language. This is a crucial means of communicating with others and a powerful tool for thinking, solving problems, and making decisions, language plays a vital role in our daily experiences. Cognition also raises questions about intelligence in both people and machines. The efforts to measure human intelligence also raise a number of ethical concerns; such as is it fair to measure something so personal as intelligence? Who should have access to the resulting scores? and Are IQ tests biased against minority groups? The cornerstone of cognitive research is the… [cont.]

A. Sounds like a question to me. I would respond to the thoughts on language. I think it is very difficult to even have certain thoughts depending on what language you are having them in. I don't speak Japanese but I am told that it is easier to understand Einstein's relativity if you do. It was suggested to me that it had to do with the non subject-predicate logical construction of sentences. Apparently westerners are (or were before Einstein taught us) at a disadvantage in viewing light as a particle and a wave. Predicate based logic steers us toward either/or and absolutes. Where conclusions in Japanese might more easily accept alternatively fused ways of thinking. Makes me wonder what thoughts haven't occurred to me because I don't [cont.]

A. It depends what kind of role you like. There is probably more work for someone experienced in Enterprise systems especially Oracle. However the Data Warehouseing role is very analytical and can lead into the Finance industry, especially if you pick up a Statistics or Accounting class along the way. From experience I would say don't focus too much on which role will give you a better career, look at which subject interests you more because especially due to the similarities in your choices above you could get the same kind of jobs with either. Work is very much like college, once you've made it in you can change your mind quite easily, the hard part is getting in.

HOW COME THE SCIENTIFIC COMMUNITY HAS NOT ACTED IN VALIDATING WINSTON KAYANAN S CLAIMS ON THE ENVIRONMENT?
Q. UN Sec. Gen. Ban Ki-moon is incredibly committed to push his predecessor s anti-life Kyoto Protocol and possibly, its mandate in October 2009 and amendment thereof come December in Danish capital of Copenhagen. However, he does not seem to understand that the carbon emission reduction as what the organization has been espousing is only a hypothesis which does not guarantee the right solution to world s environmental woes. And the 12 long years of delay to finalize Kyoto Protocol is a proof of hidden force from God in giving a strong reluctance, i.e., posing threat to world s economic survival and hence, how can the highest organization achieve a better world when its philosophy in the environment requires the expense of global economy?… [cont.]

What policies need to be implemented to improve the education of Americans?
Q. I work for a biomedical research company, and early this year we started operating with a company in Shanghai (Yingxuan Chempharm Co.). Our main agent in Asia is in Tokyo. We had two positions for technicians who were fluent in English, Japanese and Mandarin, and who had a good knowledge of proteomics and could write programs upon request (C, Ruby, Eiffel). They also needed to be capable of using diverse database/retrieval tools and methods, and to be proficient in bioquerycnl. After four months looking for a qualified person in the USA, we had to hire two foreigners. Both fit all the requirements.
