Q. I voice chat with my friends over gtalk everyday. I want such a phone so that it allows me to use gtalk inside the phone and allow me to call other online gtalk users . So that I dont have to sit with my laptop, mic and speaker, (no my laptop has nothing inbuilt) I want to move around and voice chat on gtalk, even while outside. I am Tmobile user and was planning to upgrade my phone.

A. lg renior. its got a 8mp camera andf the video is 120 fps which for a phone and a camera is amazing or posssably the samsung pixon? same as the renior but less high res vdieo if you dont want a touchscreen the sony ericsoon c905 thats got a 8.1 mp camera and is a cybershot or the samsung i850 which is the same as the pixon but a slider with 16gb of memory if you want optical zoom the samsung g800 has a 3x optical zoom but only 5mp camera and is extreamly big

A. Call Cingular and they will walk you through the process. If its a pay as you go type arrangement they will issue you a set of codes. Or at least thats the way it works with Tracfone.

How does phone insurance work with Cingular?
Q. Do you have to bring in your phone to a Cingular store so they make sure you haven't already broken it before trying to get a new one? I'm guessing you do but I wanna make sure. Also, if I "break" my phone, do I need to bring in my phone to the Cingular store if I report it broken to get a new one? It's $50 to get a new one right? A. The Samsung Eternity is great, but a bit costy. It has a sleek touchscreen with a full keypad on the touch screen, and lets you draw your texts. If you want something cheaper i'll suggest the AT&T Quickfire. The touch screen isn't that great but the keypad is awesome and your friends will be jealous!

A. A smart phone is usually a PDA phone that has many functions such as a Blackberry, Iphone, Instinct and others. Some have windows mobile and others have there own proprietary OS. Regular phones do internet and stuff but smart phones do it better and you can add applications to smart phones where it is harder to do to a regular phone.

Has anyone tried to use a cell phone on a airplane during a flight?
Q. I have flown several times since 9/11. Twice going to and from New York and Oregon and several flights to Arizona to Oregon and back. In each flight I would turn on my cell phone to see if I could get a connection. I always got no service available to apear on my sceen. About a year ago I read on the internet that in order for people to use cell phones on flying aircraft the airplanes would need to have a special antenna installed. This has not begun to happen yet. A. The people on the 9/11 flights used seatback Airphones as others in this forum have stated. As a general rule cell phones don't work very well above about 7000 feet. Some airlines have explored the possibility of installing a device, similar in concept to a computer router, that would enable passengers to use personal cellphones while at cruise altitude. It will be expensive to install and and maintain so you can bet the airlines will charge for it. My2cents is correct, one of the main reasons for the ban by the FCC on cellphones is the accounting issue.

A. For T-Mobile the Samsung Memoir has an 8 Megapixel Camera which is REALLY good, considering almost all phones are only 2-4 Megapixels. It also shoots video which is helpful too :D
