How do I transfer the SAME digital camera pictures to my computer AGAIN?
Q. When I plug in my camera it'll automatically transfer any new pictures since I last plugged it in and none more. Well the last set of pictures I transferred got lost on my computer, but they're still in the camera. I tried hooking it up again, but it won't transfer the same pictures it already has. How can I make it transfer them again?? Please help!

A. fphotoace mentioned that if you use a Mac, the computer deletes whatever was transferred to the computer (I wasn't aware of this). Could that be the case? Anyway, if you're using a PC (Windows), you can go to the camera (double click on the camera icon), go to the specific folder, and choose select all (from the EDIT menu)--then open another window to your hard drive, choose a folder, then PASTE them on that folder. I do suggest that you use a card reader because it drains a lot of of power using the batteries--and even they're rechargeable, they can only be recharged for so many times until they have to be replaced.

How to transfer a scanned document back to original after editing by OCR?
Q. I used my MS Image writer to transfer a scanned document to word. However, the images didn't transfer. I just want to edit the text then transfer it back so the images reappear. Once my document is edited, I want to email it. How do I do this?
Asked by unknown - Fri Oct 16 00:32:49 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. That is not possible. Once you do the OCR - all formatting and image tags are cleared and the document becomes an ordinary text document - without formatting. You cannot recover the original Best way would be to retain the original and OCR a duplicate file. And Make another copy of your originally scanned file and overpaste the edited text by making boxes onto the original text. It might work. By making copies, you ensure that if something is not coming out correctly, you have the original scanned image with you

What is a jurisdiction transfer? How does an offender get transferred to a different state?
Q. I am looking for the lawful explaination of what a jurisdiction transfer is, but in simplier form. Perferably a transfer from the state of Indiana to the state of North Carolina. Also what does the transfer consist of if it is possible. Thank you for your help!

A. You don't get transfered from one state prison to another unless they happen to need overflow and send you out of state. What you're probably thinking of involves "states" in the sense of nations. (Remember each US state is truly a sovergin nation that has ceded some power to the federal government) There's a treaty that allows prisoner to be returned to their country of citizenship to serve out the remainder of their sentence. ie You're in jail in Mexico but are a US citizen. Under the treaty you could possibly apply to be transfered to a US federal prison to serve out the remainder of your jail in your home country.

How do I transfer old pictures form my camera?
Q. I've already transferred the pictures once but I deleted all the photos on my computer. However, I still have them on my camera, but they won't "re-transfer" because they've already been transferred once to my computer. How do I get the pictures from my camera back onto my computer?
Asked by Sharon - Fri May 29 02:12:20 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. You don't mention what s/w is stopping you from transferring the pix. This should overcome all. With the computer or memory card connected to the computer, assuming PC, use the Start button to open the Computer and click on the camera or card. Keep double clicking on the camera/card until you get to the pictures. Select all the pictures (ctrl A), copy all of them to the clipboard (ctrl C). Open the folder that you want to copy them to and past them there (ctrl V).

How do I transfer interest in a property without paying transfer tax?
Q. I have a retired mother who can not get a loan by herself so I need to buy her a house and then transfer it to her after she sells her current house. Can I just do a quit claim once I buy the new house? Will I have to pay any transfer taxes? I will be doing the quit claim deed after she sells her current house and when I get my money back. Is this the best way to go about this? Thanks
Asked by livewire - Tue May 6 18:12:54 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Quit claim deed should handle it. There should be no transfer/excise tax so long as no money is changing hands. Your consideration on the quit claim deed will be "for love & affection" rather than money. You may still have to file the tax affidavit form even though there will be no transfer/excise tax for a nominal fee. I think it's whatever the county charges for recording of a 1 page doc.

How do you transfer video from camcorder to your computer with a usb connection and no firewire. Need Driver?
Q. I have 3 cameras and all are over 500.00 in value one is actually 2999.99 but I want to be able to transfer it to my computer and edit so I can make profesional videos well low buget but still professiona. I have video express but when I use that when it goes to my computer it keeps the battery bar and everything on the video and that makes it not even youtube ready. I just want to be able to transfer from my camcorder to computer without firewire because I don't know how to use the firewire connection and I like the usb. 1 of my camcorders can't even use the video express so how will I just use the USB to transfer the videos. Thanks for any answers.

A. if you are going to write dvds and do editing on the videos you film, you are going to have to learn to use a firewire card. USB is for transfering photos, not video. It can do it, but you lose frames which results in poor quality. Buy a firewire card, they are cheap and buy some good capture/edit software like Nero 6 (also cheap) and read the help files and manuals and learn to do use them.

How do I transfer multiple files from Google Docs?
Q. I've already seen answers about saving individual files, which I've seen already. But I just got a flash-drive and I need to transfer about 150 files from G-Docs to my flash drive. When I select multiple files, there is only a save as HTML option, which is pointless if I do not have access to internet. Click+drag doesn't work on G-Docs, and I don't really feel like transferring each file one by one, which may take an hour or two just by transferring.

A. If you have two accounts at the same bank and can access them online, you can probably do an instant transfer from one to the other. It is very easy. If you have accounts at two different banks, you can use the online BillPay system to transfer $ from one to the other. I have done both.

How do you transfer a picture from a page onto another surface?
Q. I once saw an artist soaking magazine pages in a clear liquid and then transferring the picture onto his canvas, or whatever it was that he was using for his art. I have tried turpentine, but this was not successful. The picture was not pasted onto the new surface, but instead, he just got the image onto the new surface and peeled the actual page off, with the pitcure transferred. I am looking to transfer printed pictures onto a white box without pasting them. Any ideas?

A. Sounds like a cool project, be sure to post some pictures after you figure it out! My first thought was mod-podge, but that puts the actual picture on the object, it doesn't transfer it. I have had parts of magazines transfer themselves to my kitchen table and my garage floor...just by leaving them there and having something spill nearby, so maybe you could just try soaking them in water, pressing them to the surface you want them transfered to, and waiting for them to dry, then peeling them off. I think you might lose part of the picture though if you're not lucky. If that doesn't work the way you would like, go to a craft store and ask one of the employees. I usually have more success with questions like that at a smaller store that… [cont.]

A. The drive will appear as a drive letter in Computer (ie: Drive E:, F:, or some other letter) within approximately 30 seconds of connecting and turning on the drive. Often the AutoPlay window will appear within 30 seconds. You can click on "Open Folder to View Files Using Windows Explorer" to open the drive letter, or on the drive letter in (My) Computer. When that window opens, the drive is functioning normally. Then you can simply drag-and-drop data, or copy-and-paste data, into the drive to use it manually.

How to transfer inventory from my sole proprietorship to my S-Corp?
Q. I recently changed my business structure from a sole proprietorship to an S-Corp. I have a bunch of paid for inventory under the sole proprietorship that I need to transfer into ownership under the S-Corp. How do I do that legal? Do I have to buy it from my Sole Proprietorship? Can I just transfer the assets in? How does it work? I want my taxes to work out correctly at the end of the year.

A. Just make a journal entry increasing both your equity and the inventory account. For tax purposes, as long as the return balances (thus, the journal entry), it's fine. There are no formal processes to go through. Because it sounds like you're the sole shareholder, your basis (equity) is merely increased by the inventory you transferred in. Good luck! :0)
